More details of Scouting

TAUNTON DEANE SCOUT FELLOWSHIP offers a social side and a service to Scouting in the District. It is made up of people who cannot give a regular committment to Scouting but offer any time that they have.

They can be involved with helping with events for Beavers such as judges at their annual sports, serving welcome refreshments at the party. With Cubs they could be offering to share a skill. Judges for handicraft, lane judges at the swimmimg gala.

The social side could be a skittles evening with a Fellowship from another District, the County Fellowship Dinner, meetings with a speaker - the list is endless.

Several members help at Huish Woods, the District Scout Campsite. Archery instructing, admin, green woodwork instructing, site services and maintenance are just a few of the tasks they fulfill.
